The Salvation Army Facilities Coordinator in Modesto, California
Description
OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Coordinator oversees the infrastructure and equipment. They are expected to analyze operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety and recommend improvements to the Business Administrator and City Coordinators. They will also be tasked with working alongside and sharing work-related responsibilities with the Maintenance / Property Worker, to ensure cleanliness, safety, and mechanical operations at the mentioned locations as well as TSA vehicles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general maintenance tasks
Attend regularly scheduled maintenance staff meetings
Maintains all vehicles and equipment, ensuring they remain operable
Execute minor repairs
Assist in the maintenance of the shelter kitchen
Maintain inspections and updated inspection manuals for NC units, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Control Systems, Lighting Emergency Lighting in all facilities
Review all mechanical and electrical equipment of the Corps and perform regular maintenance
Ensure that all storage closets and containers are maintained
Establish scheduled maintenance programs for painting, electrical, and mechanical equipment
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Report all safety and security deficiencies and other maintenance-related concerns
Ensure proper recordkeeping of equipment, supplies, repairs, and maintenance activities
Developing methods and schedules for facility maintenance
Responsible for handling after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
Routinely inspect various elements of buildings and grounds
Identify and diagnose potential safety hazards and report them
Maintains all HVAC systems and associated equipment
Monitor the automation system
Coordinate cleaning needs of the building
Maintain plans for fire evacuation and disaster response
Follow up and maintain work/repair orders to ensure completion
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
CA Driver’s license (required)
Certified forklift certificate (required)
Experience in facility management or a related field (3 years required)
Must be able to pass an in-house driver education course
Experience with Microsoft programs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge in repairing and servicing building equipment
Knowledge of general maintenance procedures
Ability to lead
Ability to perform all duties efficiently
Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions

EQUIPMENT USED:
Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
