The City of Monroe City Missouri is looking to hire a full-time Journeyman Lineman to assist with building, maintaining, and repairs of our electrical power systems, including overhead and underground lines, poles, and equipment. They also restore power to customers in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Position: Journeyman Lineman

Salary: Pay Ranges from $29.00 -$34.00 Schedule: M-F 7:30AM- 4:00PM

Journeyman Lineman minimum requirements:

HS Diploma/GED and Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school, vocational school, or military equivalent.

Journeyman Electrician certification required.

Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime

Must possess a valid Missouri State CDL with air brake, driver's license.

Ability to work at heights, including climbing poles

Ability to lift heavy materials

Ability to work in confined spaces, trenches, and vaults

Ability to operate heavy equipment, including aerial and excavation equipment

Ability to perform strenuous tasks in a variety of weather conditions

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Journeyman lineman is an advanced position, requiring several years of experience
