JobSummary: This role is a member of the B&N Engineering department. In this position, you will contribute to a large variety of warehouse improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing data, documenting procedures, assisting with SOP training, and maintaining key warehouse operations metrics. You will also evaluate processes and suggest improvements aimed at boosting the capacity of the DC network and enhancing efficiency. Success in this role will require the ability to collaborate across all departments within the organization.

WhatYouDo:

• Review current distribution center processes and identify opportunities for improvement: reduce cycle time, increase throughput, quality, and cost savings.

• Assist with data gathering and setting up logistics and distribution center metrics. Including but not limited to inventory’s rate of movement, warehouse capacity, inbound/ outbound activity, service level, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, and distribution.

• Document and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Process flow diagrams, and Work instructions.

• Assist with SOP training across warehouse functions.

• Collaborate on work standardization and time studies.

• Utilize analytical methods and tools to understand and predict order cadence, process changes, and slotting needs.

• Work with a large dataset in Excel and/or MS Access (300K+ items), analyze the data, identify trends, run regressions, and conduct forecasting.

• Present and summarize data analysis in the form of graphs and diagrams.

• Support the engineering department with project management tasks, including creating/updating timelines, tracking milestones, creating meeting minutes, and summarizing action items.

• Support the growth and development of the Distribution network, including facility design, maximization of space utilization, and start-up of new DCs.

• Demonstrate knowledge of Warehouse/ Distribution center operations.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Knowledge&Experience:

• 1-3+ years of experience in Distribution centers.

• BS Degree IE, and/or equivalent work experience.

• Familiar with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

• 3-5 Years’ Experience in Microsoft Excel, preferred MS Access, and knowledge of SQL

• Experience with warehouse management AS400.

• Understanding of computer databases, statistic applications, and logistics programs.

• Proven knowledge of Automation solutions: picking and packing technology.

• Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, independent-decision making, problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, etc. skills.

• Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative, team-oriented, customer-focused, etc.

• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
