Position: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Director of Manufacturing Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Facility Management
Location/Shift: Monroe, Ohio / 1st Shift
Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician assists the Production team in keeping the plant safe and well-functioning.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary role will be carried out at the Monroe Plant.
Receives oral or written orders from Production Managers.
Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on Company building and property, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Maintain warehouse and grounds in neat, clean, orderly condition.
Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
Act professionally and perform in an efficient manner to ensure an effective use of Company time and resources.
Must possess a valid Driver License
Performs other tasks and completes various projects as assigned.
Skills/Competencies:
Must have adequate knowledge of electronics, electrical, mechanical devices, and systems.
Must be able to read and follow schematics and manuals.
Safety minded with basic knowledge of LOTO.
Aptitude to produce high quality work and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task.
Capability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and 65 pounds on occasion.
Must be courteous and respectful to customers and co-workers.
Highly motivated, flexible and great attitude.
Experience:
Applicable and responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred printing plant experience with Heidelberg presses, Bobst Die Cutters, and Muller Bindery equipment.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information .
Education:
High school graduate/GED
