Job Description

At Oracle our exciting mission to build a premier health data platform with intelligent services and applications, brings about several interesting technical challenges. This role is part of the Care Coordination space within our Health Data Intelligence organization, which is focused on building products to help support a person-centric approach to proactive surveillance, coordination and personalized engagement to assist consumers in managing their health and care to achieve optimal health status, quality and cost outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Principle Software Engineer who enjoys building complex, highly technical products and services from ground up. As a member of the HDI, you will help us define the future of services used daily by both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Working with leadership, senior engineers, program managers, and product managers to develop compelling products and services that meet customer needs. Providing constructive feedback to team members and other stakeholders.

  • Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.

  • Build web applications and cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.

  • Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, to quality assurance, and to production.

  • Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high.

  • Able to work on multiple technologies and switch gears based on the business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in the software industry working on design, development and delivery of highly scalable products and services.

  • Understanding of the entire product development lifecycle that includes understanding and refining the technical specifications, HLD and LLD of world-class products and services, refining the architecture by providing feedback and suggestions, developing, and reviewing code, driving DevOps, managing releases and operations..

  • Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, C#, C++ or Go.

  • Experience with JavaScript (ReactJS preferred) and web technologies.

  • Experience with working with technical partners to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable technical requirements and per-component designs.

  • Experience with all aspects of SaaS system design, including functionality, scalability, observability, maintainability, testability and deployment considerations.

  • Experience building working with UX Designers and building frontend web applications.

  • Experience with any of cloud platforms.

  • Understanding of Micro Services architecture and API design

  • Experience with Container platforms

  • Good understanding of testing methodologies.

  • Experience with CI/CD technologies.

  • Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
