Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical maintenance on conveyors, cheese packaging equipment, boilers, and plant equipment. This role involves working with Viking equipment (newer stainless steel builds) and is responsible for repairs, troubleshooting both mechanically and electrically, and performing installations of new equipment or repairs. The technician will also assist with complimentary duties such as machine operation, minor cleanup, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on conveyors, cheese packaging equipment, boilers, and plant equipment.

• Work with Viking equipment (newer stainless steel builds).

• Troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment mechanically and electrically (up to 220V).

• Assist with machine operation, minor cleanup, and production support.

• Install new equipment and perform repairs.

• Handle facilities maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician.

• Mechanical skills, including working with conveyors, hydraulics, and troubleshooting.

• Basic electrical skills (up to 220V).

• Ability to perform installations and repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in maintenance (open to new industrial maintenance technicians)

• Mechanically inclined and adept at repairs on food packaging equipment.

Work Environment

• The work environment consists of a smaller facility with a colder temperature due to handling cheese products.

• 1st shift, running from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

• Expect 50-hour work weeks until the facility is fully staffed.

• This is a GMP environment, requiring the use of hair and beard nets if necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Monticello, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $55000.00/yr.
