Your role

Coordinate the use of network gathering and distribution systems (audio/video), both satellite and terrestrial, for television, and switch feeds to various Corporation locations based on production

requirements.

This will involve checking schedules and upcoming events, as well as adjusting the Acquisition activities in order to provide signals and feeds in conjunction with network programming delivery. You must also monitor the operation of equipment controlled by the automated system, and manually operate certain equipment to perform the functions required to meet program distribution and collection needs.

As well, you will check the status of signals originating remotely or from Acquisition, running tests and producing reports on the performance and status of satellite/terrestrial transmitters and receivers.

Finally, you will monitor the audio and video quality of regional feeds during ingest.

Please note this is a casual, on-call, part-time opportunity and you will be called to work on different shifts.

Your profile:

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in TV production and postproduction techniques, or other relevant field

  • Three (3) years’ relevant, related experience

Skills:

  • Interpersonal and communication skills (essential

  • Team player

  • Ability to work well with multiple people

  • Ability to work under pressure for extended periods

  • IT training and/or experience (an asset)

  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French

  • Willingness to work various rotating shifts in a news environment
