Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Risk Management, the Senior Accounting Manager is an integral member of the Finance Department and is responsible for managing all accounting activities, financial reporting, auditing, forecasting, and budgeting for the organization. The Senior Accounting Manager works closely with Senior Management and staff across all departments and functions. The position manages the Finance Department, emphasizing and modeling core values of integrity, clarity of purpose, accountability, and respect. The Senior Accounting Manager directly supervises four positions: Finance Analyst, Accounts Payable Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Supervisor, and one Staff Accountant. The position also indirectly supervises three positions: Accounts Payable Coordinator, Accounts Receivable Coordinator, and Payroll & Benefits Administrator. The Senior Accounting Manager interacts with staff at every level at GSGLA, so it is important to have strong written and oral communication skills. Additionally, this position must handle pressure well, manage and meet deadlines, and have the ability to learn quickly.

Job Qualifications

Candidates should have demonstrated leadership, management, and interpersonal skills as well as hands-on experience with fund accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Recommended education and experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or significant experience in lieu of education and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting. CPA strongly preferred (active or inactive status).
