How you make a difference

The Regional Nursing Manager is responsible for the direct clinical and administrative oversight of the assigned unit(s). This position provides supervision of nursing staff for the provision of a nursing process that assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive nursing care plan. Participates in staff development and performance improvement activities as assigned. Initiates, participates and fosters interdisciplinary team to facilitate the best patient experience and positive clinical outcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Director of Nursing in supervising and coordinating care delivery by licensed nurses across assigned facilities.

• Monitor staffing within the scope of practice, collaborating with the Regional Team Members.

• Support nursing orientation, training, and education in the region, maintaining nursing practice standards.

• Conduct onsite visits for oversight and provide guidance to Directors of Nursing on issue resolution and proper delegation.

• Act as a liaison for clinical needs, foster teamwork, adapt to change, and ensure timely reporting while fulfilling other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of three experience as a staff Registered Nurse in a correctional setting is required

• An additional two to three years’ leadership experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Must hold a current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.

• Must be BLS certified at the time of commencing employment.
