Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job Description
The Avionics Technician is responsible for the installation of wiring and electronic systems related to C-Checks and VIP Modification of 787-9 aircraft. This includes basic wiring buildups, preparation, and installation of wiring kits, running wires, terminating, crimping, checking connectors, and testing with multimeters and voltmeters. The role also involves working on a military VIP large jet due for a C-check.
Responsibilities
Basic buildup and preparation of wiring and cables from mod kits and drawings (10%)
On-aircraft routing and installing wires and cabling, documenting/tagging/labeling, crimping-terminating, and testing (90%)
Essential Skills
Aircraft maintenance
Avionics wiring
Cable terminating and crimping
Wiring installation
Electrical systems
Experience with 787, 767, 777 aircraft
Additional Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of avionics installation and repair experience
Open to non-aviation experience for local candidates
Experience in VIP mods/custom interiors or completions environment preferred
Local to area or region highly preferred
Military experience acceptable
Must be eligible for SIDA badge
Must own tools

Work Environment
The work environment includes recently renovated hangars and offices located at MWH. The building is owned and operated by our client's customer, who engineers the modifications. The large hangar space with two aircraft, storerooms, and inventory is operated by our client. The shift is from 0600 to 1430, often extending until 1630. The work week typically includes 50 hours or more, with flexibility for overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Moses Lake, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
