Aerotek Industrial Painter in Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Responsibilities
Prep surfaces of parts and equipment for painting.
Apply primers and other coatings according to blueprints.
Clean and maintain work areas.
Assemble and disassemble paint equipment for cleaning.
Prepare areas for coating using brush or spray operations, ensuring proper coating adhesion.
Handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing ladders.
Essential Skills
1+ years of industrial paint experience including coating, masking, and prep work.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Experience with industrial painting, paint prep, sandblasting, and use of paint sprayers and spray guns.
High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with paint booths and sanding.
Work Environment
The shop is very large, well-lit, and climate-controlled with work cells scattered throughout. The paint shop environment includes frequent fumes from paints, thinners, and cleaners, requiring the use of appropriate filtering apparatus. Occasional handling of solvents and harmful fluids is necessary, with gloves and other appropriate attire required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00
