Entry Level Aerospace Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will use various measuring devices, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards. You will be responsible for inspecting and testing in-process and finished products, documenting inspection results, and identifying non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

  • Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gauges, surface plates, and height gauges.

  • Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Conduct visual inspections of products according to customer requirements.

  • Inspect and test in-process and finished products.

  • Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs.

  • Identify and quarantine all non-conforming products.

  • Generate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant products.

  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and addressing any issues that require repair.

  • Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming they meet specifications.

  • Attend department meetings as required.

Essential Skills

  • 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Effective English communication skills.

  • Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, email software, and the use of the internet.

This is a Contract position based out of Mukilteo, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.76 - $22.83/hr.
