The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC mill-turn machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering specifications. The mill-turn Operator will play a vital role in ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and safety in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. FUNCTIONSANDRESPONSIBITIES: Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC mill-turn (or other relevant machinery) to perform precision turning/milling operations different alloys and other materials according to design specifications. Programming: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machine setup sheets to determine appropriate machining procedures. Use CNC programming software (Esprit) or manual programming to set up machining jobs. Quality Control: Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and quality standards. Follow Quality plan requirements. Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on turning mills, including tool changes, cleaning, and lubrication. Report any mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance teams when needed. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. Ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized, and that all machines are operated safely and efficiently. Troubleshooting: Identify issues with machine operation, tooling, or materials and troubleshoot to minimize downtime and ensure continued production. Documentation: Complete production reports, track parts produced, and update job sheets with necessary data. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality control teams, and supervisors to ensure timely and quality production.
