SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Quality Control Site Lead will assist in the development and control product specifications and tolerance qualifications for materials, production processes and manufacturing procedures and will generate statistical data for quality improvements by performing quality test methods and sample evaluations.

  • Supports the organization's goals in the performance of daily activities

  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.

  • Leads workers engaged in inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.

  • Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods

  • Assists as required in facility activities to achieve quality, productivity and continuous improvement goals for the facility and the customer

  • Updates our Quality Management Systems (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;

  • Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations

  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as requested by management.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Associates degree or equivalent

  • 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of:

  • ISO 9001, 14001

  • Lean manufacturing principles

  • Root cause and statistical analysis

  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation

  • Continuous improvement

  • Manufacturing methods and procedures

  • Certification in Quality Assurance (ASQ) is a plus
