Insight Global Special Education Teacher in Muskegon, Michigan
Job Description
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will use various strategies to help students develop skills in areas like language, motor skills, and memory. They will teach academic subjects using techniques like phonetics and multi-sensory learning to meet each students unique needs. Additionally, the teacher will guide students in socially acceptable behavior according to their individualized education programs (IEPs).
The teacher will adapt the general education curriculum to fit the needs of students with disabilities, plan balanced instructional activities, and maintain a positive classroom environment. They will regularly meet with parents and other professionals to discuss student progress and develop effective IEPs. Accurate record-keeping and clear communication of lesson objectives are essential. The teacher will also provide crisis intervention when needed, assist in data collection for classroom interventions, and participate in professional development activities. They must be able to manage student behavior verbally, complete necessary documentation, and perform related duties as required.
Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law. $49,346 to $71,845 per year annual salary.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE
OR;
Bachelors Degree and enrollment in a state approved program leading to teacher certification as
required by MDE. Previous teaching experience null
