Job Description

This position exists to provide business unit strategy and di rection, manage operations, and monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPls) for the college's Center for College Readiness programs and services, Concurrent Enrollment and PSEO programs, Career Academies and other K-12 partnership initiatives and strategies. This position engages in extensive collaboration with external stakeholders, in particular: Minnesota State University partner administrators, staff, and faculty, Minnesota State concurrent enrollment directors, school district administrators, individual high school administrators, staff, and instructors, and Minnesota State system office and MDE staff. Enhancing access to college education for high school students through expanding high school partnerships, particularly PSEO and concurrent enrollment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage K·12 Partnerships, both Concurrent Enrollment (REACH) and PSEO a) Implement and manage PSEO and REACH policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with Enrollment and Student Services departments.b) Manage budgets, including oversight of purchasing.c) Ensure maintenance of our concurrent enrollment program's National Association of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) accreditation.d) Complete and implement professional and technical services contracts as well as REACH/concurrent and PSEO contracts.e) Represent the college at local, regional, and national concurrent, PSEO, and related partnership meetings/conferences/events/meetings including Minnesota Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (MnCEP).f) Evaluate program effectiveness and survey data; implement continuous improvement strategies based on results of data analysis. Collaborate with partners to gather relevant data.g) Coordinates advisory committee meetings and maintains all advisory committee documentation and communication.h) Oversee and update PSEO & REACH web site pages.i) Assess admissions, registration, and business offices each term to ensure registration of students. Make operational adjustments as needed.j) Maintain professional relationships and communication with high school superintendents, principals, counselors, district curriculum directors, and education leaders. Provide resource information and consultation to high school officials and educators.k) Coordinates all logistical aspects of concurrent enrollment program including student application and assessment process, and confirms all concurrent enrollment offerings.I) Provides students, parents, and counselors with career pathway, college transition, and transfer advice, assistance, and resources.m) Monitors student academic performance and implements intrusive advising strategies.n) Provides work direction, feedback, and guidance that assists the PSEO & Concurrent Enrollment support person, student advisors, partnership staff, both externally and internally, and student workers in performing their position requirement.

  • Manage Career Academies: a. Manages day to day operations for career academy sites In collaboration with Academic Deans.b. Collaboratively develop and implement work plans for all grant activities: strategic plan, project plan, reporting, etc.c. Meets regularly with partner districts to expand and improve partnerships.d. Responds to inquiries and data requests from local, regional, and national prospects.e. Writes grant proposals and reports and collaborates with other agencies to seek external revenue to expand programs and services.f. Assists participating teachers, counselors, administrators, and other constituents with resource and data needs.g. Collaborates with Marketing for promotion/communication strategies for programs and services.h. Communicate with students and families participating in the academies.i. Document engagement with employers and other key partners, and use of labor market analytics to inform selection and design of career academies.j. Assists the Dean with program assessment and research projects.k. Compiles and disseminates program effectiveness results to education partners and College employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner. a. Assist with college-wide enrollment event and activities as needed.b. Serve on college committees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of professional related work experience. A bachelor's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience, an associate's degree may substitute for 6 months experience.

  • Knowledge of dual enrollment and college readiness services and effective technologies to address constituent needs.

  • Effective organizational and project management skills.

  • Effective data collection, analysis, and reporting skills.

  • Knowledge/use of technology to conduct presentations.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

  • Experience working in a secondary or post-secondary teaching or administrative position.

  • Knowledge of Minnesota West and Minnesota State dual credit course delivery policies, procedures, and options.

  • Knowledge of varying organizational structures and processes of small, mid and large secondary schools in urban and rural settings

  • Working knowledge of components of Minnesota Programs of Study.

  • Working knowledge of state and national education standards and policies.

  • Learning management systems (LMS) software and online delivery processes and services related to the delivery of college preparatory academic programs and services.

  • Familiarity with ISRS or another customer management system.
