Staff Accountant Location: 2201 N. 20th Street, Nampa, Idaho 83687 Salary Position: Starting Pay Range \$50,000 to \$61,000 per year; or higher depending on education and experience.

Full Time: Monday through Friday 8 Hour Shift

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join

our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records and assist the President/CEO administratively as needed. A keen interest in understanding the bigger financial picture, coupled with the ability to manage confidential information with integrity, is essential. Provide administrative support to the President:

Track and resolve all day-to-day issues

Work with partners and close business associates to assist their needs

Scheduling of multiple meetings, teleconferences, travel arrangements

Collecting and analyzing information for reports and financial reporting

Prepare, coordinate and process documents for all real estate transactions

Assist with other duties as assigned.

Accounting for multiple companies:

Manage payroll and compliance of federal and state rules

Cash Management and monthly bank reconciliations

Maintain and update accounting records and files

Prepare and review financial statements, reports and documents

Track tax payments and returns

Prepare and track accounts receivable and accounts payable

Prepare journal entries and categorize records in the general ledger

Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts

Coordinate transfer and wiring of funds

Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders

Coordinate renewal of insurance policies and timely payments

Work closely with Controller to conduct month-end and year-end closures

Prepare documents for audits

Apply new accounting policies as approved by the Controller

Track and resolve all day-to-day issues

Coordinate and distribute issues for CPA and attorney

Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

General Office Duties:

Distribute daily mail

Answering telephones and assisting with visitors

Filing, and set up of filing systems

Resolve computer and printer issues

Stock and reorder office and kitchen supplies.

Requirements and skills:

Four years of work experience in accounting, budgeting and finance

Detailed knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Must be a self-starter and can work independently with little or no supervision

Good math skills

Attention to detail

Strong organizational and communication skills

Confidentiality and integrity

Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Benefits:

Paid Time Off PTO can be used for vacation, illness or personal business. All active full-time employees (32 hours or more per week), other than those classified as temporary employees, accrue PTO. However, an employee cannot use PTO until after three months of continuous employment.

Accrual hours:

0 2 Years Annual accrual 80 Hours = 2 weeks

3 5 Years Annual accrual 120 Hours = 3 weeks

6 + Years Annual maximum accrual 160 hours = 4 weeks

PTO Carry-over & Maximum Accruals - PTO can be carried over from year to year. Maximum accruals are capped at 20 days. Once a cap is reached there is no further accrual until the PTO balance is used and the employee is below the maximum accrual level.

Employees who are entitled to PTO may split PTO; however, they are encouraged to take at least five consecutive days of earned PTO per year. Employees may take PTO in half or full day increments only.
