Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

You will be responsible for the organization, coordination, and control of all stages of assigned projects, playing a pivotal role in project development by being the main interface between the engineering team and other groups. Projects involve hardware and software development of certified, non-certified, and military aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering estimates and development plans.

• Lead engineering project teams with respect to budget, schedule, and ensure quality deliveries.

• Execute the engineering development plan, including identifying and anticipating problems that could hinder or adversely limit the project's objectives.

• Work with other departments such as Program Management, Certification, Safety & Reliability, Quality, and Manufacturing.

• Maintain engineering work standards and processes.

• Evaluate technical risk, mitigation, and contingency.

• Produce and present progress reports for management review.

• Maintain technical expertise.

• Support continuous product improvements and innovation.

• Drive the team, coordinate activities, and deliver on customer milestones.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5-7 years of project management experience managing or producing complex projects related to software/hardware systems.

• Demonstrated understanding of requirements management for the development of hardware and/or software systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with DO-254 and DO-178 (Military Standards).

• Avionics experience.

• Aerospace experience.

• Working knowledge of FAA TSO, FARs, AC, and STC regulations & procedures.

• Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
