Description

This is a GIS developer position with local Information Technology Services GIS Division. This position will perform duties associated with compilation and maintenance of GIS layers. This position will use enterprise portal and ArcGIS Online to help customers create and maintain their content. This position will also conduct GIS analysis tasks and generate cartographic products as needed.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of spatial editing techniques to accurately create and update an array of GIS datasets,

• Verify accuracy and completeness of GIS datasets,

• Monitor and maintain data inventory records relating to GIS dataset update cycles,

• Complete GIS analysis requests,

• Create high quality cartographic products,

• Create and maintain content within enterprise portal and ArcGIS Online,

• Document data maintenance and analysis procedures,

• Implement Esri configured solutions in Portal and ArcGIS Online.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or Certification in GIS from an accredited college or university. Must have understanding of geographic information system technology. Enterprise GIS platform uses the ESRI platform, so the preferred candidate would have two (2) or more years of experience in using ESRI GIS systems.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with ArcGIS Pro,

• Experience with ArcGIS Portal or ArcGIS Online,

• Extensive experience editing GIS datasets,

• Considerable problem solving and troubleshooting skills,

• Ability to learn new technologies, work independently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $48.00/hr.
