TEKsystems Low Voltage Technician in Nashville, Tennessee

Join our team as a Cabling Systems Installation Specialist and become a key player in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, IP Physical Access Control, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
Responsibilities:
Innovative Installations: Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, IP Physical Access Control, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
Hands-On Work: Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
Customer Satisfaction: Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that CCTV systems meet total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
Team Collaboration: Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment.
Quality Assurance: Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
Compliance: Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes and legal and/or insurance requirements.

Technical Expertise: Cat6, Install, Low voltage, troubleshooting, fiber optic cable, boom lift, Cat5, Audiovisual, Punchdown, Wireless access point, CCTV, Access control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Industry Experience: Experience working in Manufacturing, Oil/Gas, Precast Concrete plant preferred.
Field Installation: Experience in field installation in the security environment: CCTV, Structured Cabling.
Travel Enthusiast: Available to travel 3-6 weeks at a time.
Blueprint Proficiency: Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
Technical Solutions: Assist with pre-installation opportunities by designing and planning technical solutions.
Customer Support: Perform new installs and provide technical escalation support both on-site at customer locations and remotely via phone and specialized tools.
Communication Skills: Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
Preparedness: Has basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during the training period prior to issuing a company vehicle.
Tech Savvy: Computer/laptop/smartphone proficiency and highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems.
Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
