As part of the Central Payroll Support Team (CPST), the Payroll Support Senior Analyst is accountable for various payroll and time services and process including Operations Support, Integrations and Reporting for EMEA countries. On a recurring or ad hoc basis, you are responsible for administering Payroll and Time & Attendance Reports, including evaluation of existing / available reports and dashboards, determination of appropriate reporting tool, and generation of new reports where vital. You will support audit requests and ongoing operational Key Performance Indicators / dashboard development for the Payroll and Time & Attendance function. In addition, you will provide operations support to the Payroll and Time & Attendance function, including supporting vendor management routines such as Service Level Assurance tracking and issue / partner concern management, user access management, etc. You will help drive regional consistency and compliance in payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and opportunities for process improvements.

Daily Operation Management

  • Responsible for payroll processes: o Payroll input/output validation, GTG, GTN and source to target reconciliation o Reporting and payroll administration of Global Apps - Workday, Fidelity, Concur o Vendor invoice verifications, monitoring and review of vendor SLA and management of vendor issues o Payroll administration of Health Care Professionals (HCP) Contracts o Leads cases in SFDC for salary certificates and payslips requests.

  • Support identifying, evaluating, and implementing Payroll/Time and attendance continues Improvements, Automation opportunities, Change requests.

  • Achieve SLA and critical metrics. Deliver timely and accurate processing of administrative payroll process, generation of report and reconciliations.

  • Develop, build and manage relationships with the Country Payroll teams and other functions. Respond to inquiries and resolve issues raised by Business Partners.

  • Recommend policies and procedures designed to improve business processes within the department. Implement identified procedures and policies to improve the efficiency of the Team and enhance accuracy and integrity of report generation.

  • Creation and maintenance of materials & tools linked to specific processes, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Job aids, etc.

  • Time-tracking will be a part of monthly work.

  • Effective partnership with peers within EMEA Payroll department, J&J colleagues outside the Payroll function, and (possibly) third party vendors outside the company.

Continuous Improvements

  • Work with Sr. Team Lead to find opportunities for continuous improvement and innovate solutions and system enhancement so team can perform efficiently and cost effective.

  • Implement standardization and simplification of reporting process.

  • Proactive involvement in resolving and implementing standard process. Audit and Compliance

  • Maintain documentation to satisfy internal and external audit requirements

  • Ensure current processes, systems, databases and information security are up to date and align with current legislation.

  • Assist in audit and legal compliance as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years work experience

  • Amenable to work during mid-shift

  • Prior exposure to Payroll/HR Operations in Shared Services environment is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Workday and SAP ERP, ADP and/or other payroll system is required.

  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications is required.

  • Knowledge of other IT system is preferred (Alteryx, FCD Tool, payroll system, T&A, Fidelity, Concur, MBOX)

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English required to communicate with customers and peers.

  • Significant analytical and problem-solving skills required.

  • Attention to detail & accuracy a must.

  • Knowledge of country and business sector specific concepts, principles and procedures for payroll reporting

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters.

  • Proficient social skills and the ability to successfully work with internal collaborators and colleagues to give ideas, see opportunities, and supply to positive outcomes.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a diverse range of cultures and business disciplines.

  • Ability to organize work, handle time and adhere to schedules.

  • Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in a customer service environment are critical.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working with Workday HCM is an asset, as well as with different payroll systems

  • Experience in EMEA market

  • Strong Excel skills are preferred.

  • Experience working with a case management tool.

  • Experience in a regional or global shared service center environment.

  • Understanding of HR Functional domains (Total Rewards, HRIS, Workforce Data Administration) or Payroll.
