We are currently seeking an individual to represent Stantec’s Principal Designer and CDM Advisor appointments, with experience in the Energy and Resources sector to join us in any of our offices across the UK. This is an opportunity for you to play an important part in the U.K. energy transition and make a real difference.

As Principal Designer and CDM Advisor you will be fulfilling the duties of the Principal Designer as defined under CDM 2015 including where necessary carrying out the role of CDM Advisor to support our clients. The role requires an in depth understanding of design and construction processes and the ability to communicate effectively. You will have a clear understanding of the legal requirements of CDM and other legislation relevant to design and construction activities.

You will foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where your team can thrive as well as contributing to the continued growth and success of Stantec's Energy and Resources teams.

About You

You will be qualified with a Bachelor's/master’s degree level in a relevant construction, health and safety or engineering discipline and ideally Chartered. We would also expect additional Health and Safety Qualifications such as NEBOSH.

You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and experience of the Energy and Resources sector. You will have the capability to coach and mentor juniors in the team and cross collaborate across the business. You will be engaged in the engineering community and understand how we can drive success for our clients, including understanding innovative solutions and industry best practices.

You will have proven experience in the design management of energy projects from concept to completion and have an in-depth knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
