Naval Education and Training Command TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR for the INFOWARTRACMD CORRY STATION PENSACOLA. Responsibilities You will provide instruction in Basic Networking to include: Information systems Security, numbering Systems, Sub-netting, Introduction to Operating Systems (i.e. CCNA, UNIX/LINX, Windows and DOS), and understanding basic network infrastructure. You will be responsibe for, but are not limited to, classroom preparation, curriculum configuration management and delivery in a standard classroom, laboratory or Integrated Learning Environment (ILE). You will serve on academic review boards to minimize attrition, assess academic problem sources, and propose recommendations for trainee disposition. You will assist with curriculum development, revision of lesson plans, Test Question bank, Test Version, Performance Test, Test Administrator Guide, Trainee Guides, Instructional Media Material (IMM), and Interactive Courseware. You wil monitor student progress and maintain necessary training records to ensure student comprehension of curriculum. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts, and methods (e.g., information systems security, network infrastructures, subnetworks, operating systems, computer numbering systems) to support organizational IT requirements: 2) Providing guidance on implementing a variety of IT protocols, services, and standards associated with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Internet, and wireless applications and detailing basic network security using hardware and software procedures; 3) Utilizing training methods, techniques and tools to design, develop, present, and evaluate training courses and materials to include using instructional technology (e.g., interactive courseware, video-tele-training, computer based training); and 4) Evaluating and measuring student/trainee progress, providing counseling, and/or special instruction, and determine action required to remediate student/trainee. Education This position has been designated as a Cyberspace Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) work role of 712-Cyber Instructor proficiency level Intermediate and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to obtain and maintain qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies. This designation requires the incumbent to: Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 712-Cyber Instructor proficiency level Intermediate. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.
