Military Sealift Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Naval Base, Virginia
Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Department (N8), Budget Division (N81), Budget Execution Branch (N813) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems. You will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and support activities. You will be responsible for reviewing and/or evaluating budget requests, as well as controlling and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will be responsible for providing advice on effective methods for management of funds to support organizational plans. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data (e.g. cost estimates, obligations, and expenditures). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing and/or advising on work in any of the phases or systems of Department of Defense budget administration (e.g. formulation of budget, estimates to support plans, programs, defending budget estimates, evaluating budget request, budget control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures). Experience developing, determining, and/or interpreting of budget policies, precedents, procedures, practices and regulations with a preferred experience working with Navy Working Capital Fund. Experience resolving a range of budgetary problems and working with financial management systems and reporting tools such as Navy-ERP. Experience implementing a variety of other fiscal, accounting, and/or financial management duties and responsibilities.
