Commander, Navy Installations FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Budget Execution of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK. FOR GS-09: $60,808-$79,050 FOR GS-11: $73,572-$95,641 Responsibilities You will advise customers regarding financial guidance, policy, and procedures. You will reconcile customer accounts to verify accuracy of account information. You will compile data using a financial management system. You will analyze and resolve financial problems within an organization. You will conduct analytical studies, trend analyses, or other financial data research to verify accuracy of data and reports. You will conduct financial planning and budgeting analysis for procurement appropriations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching or investigating problems or errors that require reconciling and amending accounting data; 2) Providing advice and/or recommendations regarding financial impact to operations and mission readiness; 3) Performing budget execution reviews to ensure budgets are in compliance with budgetary policies and practices; 4) Interpreting/applying regulations and procedures related to Budget Execution and complex actions; and 5) Analyzing financial data in charts, graphs, and tables to portray funds execution. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying regulations, policies, and operating instructions applicable to financial management systems operations; 2) Identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding; and 3) Utilizing a variety of office automation software (word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, graphics, and databases) to support financial management initiatives.
