Position Summary/Description:
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct experiments involving in vivo electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, neuroimmune signaling pathway analysis, reward-learning tasks, binge-like alcohol exposure on adolescent development and alterations in brain and behavior.
Education and Experience:
Preferred qualifications include:
Demonstrated proficiency in in vivo neural measurements (e.g., microdialysis) and neuroimmune signaling analysis through peer-reviewed publications.
Prior experience working with the intersection between neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration and neuroimmune activation as well as behavior.
Experience with a variety of rat preclinical models for conditions such as aging, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, systemic inflammation (e.g. obesity, diabetes) and traumatic brain injury (e.g. Gulf War Illness or PTSD ).
Experience with a spectrum of behavioral models such as open field test, fear conditioning, feeding latency, elevated plus maze, sucrose preference test (anhedonia), and the forced swim test.
