Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution of all food safety and quality processes ensuring they meet company, customer, industry quality certification, and regulatory requirements. This position is also accountable for managing the lab team and day-to-day activities within the quality function to ensure product quality and food safety. Responsibilities: Engagement & Involvement • Own communication within the quality area and across functions. • Serve as a reliable resource for employee and team needs, providing timely and meaningful follow-up to all questions, concerns, and ideas. • Engage employees through regular team meetings, process improvement discussions, follow-up on suggestions, and regular communication. Performance Management • Conduct effective formal and informal employee coaching, performance management, and development. • Provide recognition and praise to encourage positive work behaviors and focus. • Utilize performance metrics to improve efficiency. • Assess team effectiveness needs and seek resources to assist in team development. • Review product on hold daily to determine disposition. Process & Resource Management • Manage area-specific production process and improvement activities, including identifying opportunity areas and meeting daily quality goals. • Participate in production and people scheduling processes, adjusting as needed to support operations. • Work with employees to manage housekeeping, sanitation, and food safety practices effectively. • Manage resources to ensure maximum uptime and quality. • Assist in hiring new quality technician employees. • Follow through on issues to resolution or establish an agreed-upon hand-off. Human and Food Safety • Operate as leader and champion of safety, modeling safe work behaviors. • Document and investigate safety incidents. • Reduce safety risks by proactively identifying risks and ensuring quick resolution. • Ensure use of proper procedures and team attendance at required training. • Maintain a product quality level that meets or exceeds customer expectations. • Ensure compliance with all quality, sanitation, and food safety processes and policies. • Follow food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager. Training • Provide proper training, coaching, and feedback to new employees. • Identify and address training opportunities, including job skills training and goal setting. • Facilitate effective team meetings and reward and recognize team progress. • Ensure appropriate level and depth of cross-training in each area through optimal use of all training tools and experience available.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Hours 5:45 p.m. – 6 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule. Will most likely train on first shift.
