Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, complete shop records, and use reporting systems following established procedures. You will provide quick responses to maintenance requests and calls from maintenance leadership and manufacturing operations teams. Additionally, you will follow safe work methods and procedures to avoid injury to yourself and co-workers or damage to company property. You will perform welding and plumbing as needed, follow proper housekeeping standards, operate motorized equipment, and use a wide range of powered and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance.

  • Complete shop records and use reporting systems following established procedures.

  • Provide quick responses to maintenance requests and calls from maintenance leadership and manufacturing operations teams.

  • Follow safe work methods and procedures, including the use of all required personal protective equipment and safety precautions such as LOTO.

  • Perform welding and plumbing as needed.

  • Follow proper housekeeping standards to ensure clean and organized maintenance work areas.

  • Operate motorized equipment, including but not limited to scissor lifts, JLGs, and fork trucks.

  • Use a wide range of powered tools and hand tools and vibratory tools/equipment.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or GED equivalent.

  • Certified Journeyman with 2 or more years of experience in Electrical or Mechanical trades, OR Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical field with at least 2 years of current, hands-on working experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, OR Technical training with military service and 5 years' experience in general maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with 480V, 220V, 120V, and low volt DC electrical controls and systems.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

  • Ability to perform work in a loud/noisy environment.

  • Willingness to change shifts and work overtime and weekends as required.

  • Ability to work with parts/equipment that may be hot, cold, and/or wet.

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and at heights.

  • Basic proficiency in Gmail, Excel (Google Sheets), and other computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical certifications are a strong plus.

  • PLC experience preferred, including understanding of PLC logic and performing minor editing and programming changes.

  • Experience working with electrical diagrams such as PLC logic, process flow diagrams, instrument flow diagrams, and P&ID drawings.

  • Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic mechanical concepts and relationships.

Work Environment

Weekend Shift: 6am-6:30pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). You will work 36 hours and receive a shift differential for weekend work, with the option to pick up additional hours throughout the week. The facility is very clean, quiet, and climate-controlled. The work environment includes adherence to strict safety rules to prevent entanglement. The facility produces products for customers such as Nectar, Dreamcloud, Siena, Awara, and Cloverlane, across various departments including Bloomers, Scrap, Lamination, and Finish.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00
