Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

The Master Electrician supports the operations with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and parts. Primary focus on new construction and installation of manufacturing equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute plans for electrical wiring and services to new and existing equipment.

  • Support projects in the facility.

  • Perform complex troubleshooting of industrial electrical and electronic systems including CNCs, Robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detector systems, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMIs, and PLCs.

  • Work on electrical systems up to 480v.

  • Interpret machine assembly prints and wiring diagrams, including European drawings.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management System.

  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.

  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.

  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.

  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.

  • Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.

  • Assist with mechanical and electrical improvements to plant and equipment.

  • Implement and conduct preventive maintenance programs, keeping accurate maintenance records.

  • Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns onsite as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical components and safety codes.

  • Ability to understand and comply with NFPA 70e and NEC codes.

  • Competence in working on electrical systems up to 480v.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial electrical and electronic systems.

  • Experience with CNCs, Robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detector systems, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMIs, and PLCs.

  • Ability to interpret machine assembly prints and wiring diagrams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in maintaining, repairing, and installing switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.

  • Ability to test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.

  • Experience with industrial storage batteries, hydraulic, and pneumatic electrical control systems.

  • Skills in maintaining and repairing industrial electrical and electronic control systems.

  • Experience in implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Work Environment

This position operates in a brand new, climate-controlled facility built in 2020. The work schedule is set on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation, ensuring a predictable and consistent shift. The facility houses advanced automation technology, providing a modern and efficient work environment. The team size is small, with roughly 20 shop floor employees, fostering a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. The first shift hours are from 7:00AM to 3:00PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
