Trent Cadillac Buick GMC Automotive Technician in New Bern, North Carolina
Duties:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and suspension or steering issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair vehicle components.
- Weld and fabricate metal parts as needed.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for additional services.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending.
Note: Experience working on GM vehicles is preferred but not required.
