Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Privacy Coordinator for University Ethics and Compliance. Reporting to the Director of Compliance the Privacy Coordinator ("PC") monitors adherence to regulatory requirements and university policies and procedures related to HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, and FERPA. The PC will be responsible for educating university personnel, promoting, and administering various privacy program initiatives, performing investigations related to HIPAA and FERPA violations, and conducting routing monitoring in areas of privacy risk. This role will support the Director of Privacy in ensuring the privacy program's effectiveness university wide. To achieve these goals, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with personnel across the university including the Office of General Counsel, Office of Labor Relations, Office of Academic Labor Relations, Office of Employment Equity, Office of Information Technology, and employees of Rutgers' partner organizations in order to assist University Ethics & Compliance leadership in managing, monitoring, and educating the organization to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and university policies and procedures.
