Posting Summary | The lab of Dr. Harini Sampath at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a qualified Research Associate to carry out studies related to intestinal lipid metabolism using transgenic mouse models. This a grant-funded position available immediately. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a publication record consistent with career level, and an interest in understanding regulation of cancer cell metabolism. Expertise in the use of transgenic mouse models and mammalian cell culture is required. Experience with intestinal biology and generation of organoids and/or experience with high-throughput data analysis is highly preferred. Also preferred is a background in biochemistry/molecular biology with technical knowledge in basic biochemical techniques, including IHC/IF, EMSA, FACS, siRNA, protein and nucleic acid chemistry, lipid extractions and analyses. Experience with studies of lipid metabolism is preferred but not required. Proficiency in oral and written English is required.
