International Information Technology Analyst in New Carlisle, Indiana
Position Overview
Become a leader within International’s IT Organization. As a Information Technology Analyst, you will have the opportunity to drive and deliver innovative capabilities with industry leading products. This role will provide business analysis expertise in identifying, analyzing, and evaluating business requirements. May lead cross-functional teams to address business and/or systems issues. Strong initiative to learn new systems.
Domain areas include Product Safety and Integrity, Product Quality, Advanced Reliability, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing Quality.
This is a hybrid position and is open to anyone living within commuting distance of any of our International facilities in:
Lisle, Illinois
Springfield, Ohio
Tulsa, Oklahoma
San Antonio, Texas
New Carlisle, Indiana
Responsibilities
Analysis
Solves complex business problems often within unfamiliar territory and without precedent
Proficient in applying industry-established standards to work closely with stakeholders to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments and requirements as necessary
Integrates usability studies and research into the product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
Proficient in analysis of systems specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business and technical processes
Leverages domain knowledge to translate user needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements to maintain a backlog of three to four sprints ahead of the team
Asks the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” questions to quickly differentiate the needs from the wants to deliver optimal value
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products, services, and processes to bring the people, processes, and tools together
Plans and directs studies of potential electronic data processing applications and prepares design proposals to reflect cost, time, and alternative actions to satisfy existing and future needs of the corporation
Contributes to the results of Value Stream Mapping
Instrumental in the formation of the application and technology roadmaps in support of the broader product strategy
Process
Follows, refines, explains, and enforces established processes to streamline the software development lifecycle
Instrumental in leading and participating in Agile development processes daily
Works closely with domain areas to prioritize requested features, predict and proactively take action on the impacts of discovered bugs, and propose continuous improvements for all facets of the business and team of colleagues
Stays involved and aware throughout the entire project
Establishes oneself as a trusted resource to recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards and processes
Documentation
Fully proficient in using written communication to transform vague ideas into sizeable action
Effectively articulates the behind-the-scenes workings of the system to developer colleagues in the form of clear, concise, accurate, and effective business requirements, functional specifications, and bid packages
Owns the construction and maintenance of an accurate knowledge repository for domain-specific data catalogs, context diagrams and system interface documentation, process flow diagrams, application dictionaries, support manuals, user manuals, etc., for all relevant application information
Testing
Fully proficient in the development of comprehensive test plans and protocols to ensure the actual results match the expected results
Exercises solid due diligence with the “shift left mantra” for continuous testing to reduce defect costs
Avoids test analysis paralysis
Facilitates demos and release planning with stakeholders to gain user acceptance test results
Maintains knowledge of industry standards and best practices for testing
Implementation
Works with system architects to develop conversion and system implementation plans
Ensures a seamless transition between old and new systems and processes
Prepares, obtains, and tracks approvals of system and required communication documentation for implementation
Works closely with stakeholders to establish support messaging, communication, and customer outreach to reduce risk in the implementation plan
Training
Achieves successful adoption by ensuring end users understand the new system or changes to the existing system
Uses solid verbal communication skills and easy-to-understand instructions to facilitate the training of user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system
Discusses business process and system related capabilities/expectations with manufacturing and plant leadership
Relationships
Is a proponent of well-managed transparency and diplomacy
Proficient at developing a deep understanding of the target domain and building close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with the overall strategy
Manages and grows relationships with vendors and colleagues for new and existing software to find and suggest IT solutions that continue to meet the technological needs of the business
Manages dependencies with other teams’ functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across the different teams
Enhances business acumen, career development, and skill growth by networking with senior internal and external personnel in key areas of expertise to discuss business process and system related capabilities, expectations, and continuous improvement opportunities for domain areas
Welcomes the opportunity to lead other professionals and colleagues with less experience through the analysis, design, and delivery of solutions
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 6 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing of enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications
At least 1 year of lead experience
