ManpowerGroup Infrastructure Installation Technician in New Carlisle, Indiana

Job Title: Infrastructure Installation Technician

Location: Onsite, New Carlisle, IN 46552

Duration: 6 Months

Pay Rate: $25.04/hr.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician to join our Infrastructure team. This role focuses on the day-to-day installation of servers, network equipment, structured cabling, and capacity management. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be involved in the physical installation of network and server racks/devices and collaborate with cable vendors for installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of cabling.

This position is based in New Carlisle, IN, and may involve travel within the geographical area. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the stability and growth of next-generation network technologies.

Top 3 Required Skills:

  1. Network & Server Infrastructure - Strong knowledge of server technologies, switches, and networking devices (copper and fiber optic cabling, patch panels, and patch cords).

  2. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting - Ability to assess and resolve infrastructure issues quickly and accurately from both hardware and software perspectives.

  3. Communication & Documentation - Effective written and oral communication skills to report and document status, work priorities, and troubleshooting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling (fiber optic and copper).

• Install and maintain copper and fiber cable infrastructure in data centers.

• Ensure that installations comply with best practices.

• Maintain accurate records through ticketing systems and workflow management.

• Work with teams to move enterprise equipment, install, and manage materials on-site.

• Exhibit quality workmanship and ensure site cleanliness during installations.

• Participate in after-hours support and emergency tasks as needed.

• Regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for heavier loads.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk job sites in uneven terrain and work safely at heights or from ladders.

• Work on your feet conducting site walks and installations for 8-hour shifts.

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, with group assistance for heavier objects.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 50% travel within the geographical area, with potential for occasional travel outside the area.
