Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee the development and delivery of a new online Public Health Primer (PHP) for incoming MPH/MS/PhD students, set to launch in early summer 2025. This position reports to the Director of Online and Certificate Education and will work closely with the Director of Academic Affairs. The Program Manager will coordinate with faculty to plan and develop lectures and assessments, ensuring they form a cohesive course. Additionally, the role involves building the course's Canvas site and supporting users throughout the launch.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and inaugural delivery of the Public Health Primer.

  • Support new and existing online and non-degree initiatives through project management skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning.

  • Lead the instructional design process for online and non-degree projects.

  • Develop and provide training on instructional technologies and other tools to support online learning.

  • Assist instructors with the development and maintenance of course website elements.

  • Collaborate with Academic Affairs and Online and Non-Degree teams to create and develop new educational programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Strong time and project management skills to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

  • Knowledge of and comfort with learning management systems, digital collaboration, and other learning technology tools.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders on multiple projects.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Experience in higher education and knowledge of public health is a plus.

  • Familiarity with online learning best practices, adult education, and effective course design principles is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

The position is based on-site or potentially hybrid, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The work environment is collaborative, innovative, and supportive, focusing on developing new educational programs that align with the school's strategic plan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00
