Emerson Business Development Manager North America in New Orleans, Louisiana

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead sales efforts across North America for our Isolation Valve portfolio, including TOV, C-Ball, Knifegate, butterfly, and ball valves. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales across North America for our Isolation Valve portfolio – TOV, C-Ball, Knifegate valves, butterfly valves, and ball valves. Individual will be assigned a few “focus” product line, but in general will serve the full product portfolio and primary geography .
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Achieve the assigned budget for the multi-product portfolio across NAM
Achieve the budget for the unique product portfolio assigned to the individual
Conduct sales and customer thought leadership learning & product training
Conduct joint sales calls with Channel
Conduct direct sales calls as appropriate to drive the objectives of the business
Support inside sales and application engineers with product and application expertise, and assist in their training
Develop expertise in the ISV Initiatives for each year and work with RSMs and Channel to build actionable plans to achieve the Emerson Impact Partner Initiative goals
Work in coordination with the RSMs to provide training and product support for EIPs
Develop annual product plans for products assigned within the assigned geographic region
Update all product plans each quarter based on specific actions identified per quarterly plan
Assist with Product pricing strategies and pricing agreements as requested by RSMs
Drive AML & technical specification work
Serve as application mentor to the customer, the Channel, and inside sales and application engineering
Lead product troubleshooting when required to support the customer and the Channel partners
Owner (with SBU support) of technical specification writing for products
Participate in monthly cadence with manager to track progress and roadblocks
Actively engaging in pursuit of project and MRO opportunities in the semiconductor and data center markets

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
5 years in a Business Development Role with a consistent track record of success around industry focus on semiconductors and data centers
Ability to develop account plans and project pursuit strategies with minimal guidance from management.
Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills
Demonstrate customer focus by meeting and exceeding customer expectations and demonstrating strong listening skills
Requires 60% to 70% travel with end users and channel
Collaboration and interpersonal skills are critical for this position due to the various interfaces internal and external to the organization
Successful candidate should expect to travel regularly and be focused on driving success through working directly with customers and channel to win business

Maintain the proper focus and be persistent to introduce new products and services to our customers, expanding our portfolio to unseat competitive offerings
Have thorough knowledge of the Isolation Valve product portfolio, including customers, applications, terminology, purchasing practices, and large project pursuit methodology
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is 119K-191,500, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
