Description

We are in search of a dedicated Payroll Clerk for our client in New Roads, Louisiana. The role involves the execution of various clerical tasks in support of the payroll department. This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity that requires the effective management of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and delivering statements to different departments.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and accurate processing of employee timesheets, ensuring all are approved on time

• Providing proper guidance to employees on the usage of payroll-related systems, including how to access pay statements online and enter timesheets

• Execution of various office tasks such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and filing

• Accurate data entry into Excel and the ADP payroll system, ensuring all information is up to date

• Conducting audits and making necessary calculations as instructed, using Excel

• Building and running customized reports from the ADP system as required

• Downloading, saving, and distributing reports as per instructions

• Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

• Ensuring effective communication with both the internal team and external customers

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Must be familiar with various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Auditing skills are crucial for this role

• Ability to handle Benefit Functions is mandatory
