Actalent Engineering Technician in New Ulm, Minnesota

Description

• Create and maintain internal process documentation

• Write change orders and deviations

• Tooling and fixtures using Solid works software

• Execute development builds

• Gather and provide technical data for technical reviews

• Utilize key production processes and materials.

• Using inspection criteria, execute dimensional characterization methodology

• Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause

• Assist in requirements gathering ensuring complete and correct revisions

• Assist in the creation of bill of materials and routes

• Assist in the inspection and test of products

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge, including the use of Microsoft Office or similar software.

• General understanding and working knowledge of common engineering concepts & applications including statistical and scientific tools a plus (e.g., Gage R&R, DOE, process capability, SPC, etc.)

• Ability to Identify technical problems and execute solutions relevant to task using a systematic problem-solving approach

• Ability to develop effective work relationships with internal customers of the company

• Ability to understand and follow the Company’s Quality System and documentation practices

• Ability to understand customer requirements and product needs

Education:

• 2-year degree in a technical field; equivalent industrial or technical experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

• Industrial experience in a manufacturing and/or electrical/electronic area is preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
