FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE including 4/10-hour shifts and 5/8-hour shifts with flexible start times! You will use your detail-oriented skills to take responsibility and see projects through to completion. What does the Mechanical Assembler is responsible do for SpecSys? Assembles mechanical components into controls of moderate complexity by following controlled documentation, standards and specifications Assembles hydraulic actuators by hand using hand tools bending tubing, drilling and taping Identifies appropriate assembly sequences to minimize unproductive time Ensures products are built and tested to meet customer requirements Identifies component shortages and coordinate parts tracking with purchasing / material handling department Coordinates work load with the assigned project manager to ensure design changes ECO changes are implemented into the overall assembly process Provides input into QC process improvements What do we look for in a quality candidate? Knowledge of designing, using, and repairing machines and tools, computer hardware and software, building machines, and using plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Math skills to solve problems The ability to read and understand written information Can identify problems and review information Has the ability to understand and follow detailed drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, customer specifications and assembly procedures Can lift 75 pounds Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical schematics Can stand for 8 hours plus per day Understands and follows work order instructions including sign-off of assembly department dispatches Understands and follows existing quality control processes Has any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge for successful performance Many tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
