Job Title: Assistant Research ScientistGrade: 15Salary: $55,652 - $66,648The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Assistant Research Scientist position at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. This role is for an Assistant Research Scientist in a neuroscience laboratory specializing in rodent models to investigate mechanisms and therapeutic targets for mental illnesses. The research focuses on understanding the circuit mechanism underlying normal brain function and exploring how early-life experiences and environmental exposures influence these processes. As well as focus on neurobehavioral systems, employing environmental and molecular/genetic manipulations to investigate neural cellular and circuit structure, function, and their impact on behavior. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills, meticulous record-keeping, and must be able to aid others in the laboratory with data.
