Responsible for maintaining company databases and implement database security measures to protect sensitive financial information. Test and evaluate financial databases and make necessary server modifications. Involved in planning and implementing financial security measures to safeguard information in servers against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure. Requires securing the company's financial database systems by monitoring server access. Responsible for scheduling and planning database upgrades and server testing of new products and improvements to computer systems. Assist the company's risk management team in assuring database security and maintain knowledge of financial applications. Tailor current financial database systems to support various financial and corporate developments. Recommend server upgrades to match project management needs and will monitor and optimize the performance of Jump's financial database systems. Create and maintain critical data within the Reference Data suite including security master, corporate action, pricing, and legal entity related data. Liaise closely with various trading, research, and operational teams to understand the data needs and expectations. This position requires master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or in a related field plus 18 months experience as a Data Analyst in a financial industry role or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) SQL, Python, Linux, Microsoft Office Suite; (Python/Linux with master’s program); (2) Knowledge of financial assets and the ability to read specs and interpret equity, bonds, futures, and options; (3) Understanding of corporate actions and how it works with clearing and trade settlement; (4) Security master database management experience; and (5) Understanding and ability to use Bloomberg and Reuters.Wage range: $145,000-$165000.00
