Job Description

Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as aGrant Coordinator/Editor! We’re looking for a dynamic professional to support faculty in the Departments of Medicine and Surgery as a member of Editorial and grant Writing Services team.

Role Overview:

  • Support end-to-end grant activity of established Principal Investigator (PI) by providing extensive support with grant preparation/coordination and editing.

  • Find opportunities for peer-reviewed funding, locating suitable applicants, ensuring timely proposal submission as well as a timely and accurate follow-up.

  • Edit, coordinate, and submit academic and research documents, including but not limited to manuscripts and correspondence.

  • Coordinate, edit, and submit federal, foundation, and MSK (internal) grant applications and grant progress reports, as well as assist with the execution of industry contracts.

  • Edit, format, and submit journal articles.

  • Provide support for research conference planning.

  • Work with faculty and others to identify funding sources, engage in brainstorming/proposal development activities, interpret and explain funding agency and institutional requirements.

  • Coordinate final review and submission of all sponsored research materials.

    Key Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of grant management experience (NIH and/or DoD grant experience).

  • Project management and medical editing experience is preferred.

    Core Skills:

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex information.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • An interest in or familiarity with clinical research.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure unforeseen issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels in a confident, professional manner.

  • Enthusiasm and dedication to MSK's vision, mission and values.

    Additional Information :

  • Location: Fully remote role with no on-site time, consistent with the overall unit. An individual may request for a hybrid option to allow some travel to campus.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Reporting to Associate Director, Editorial and Grant Services

    Pay Range: $73,900 - $114,400

EGS supports investigators in the Departments of Surgery and Medicine, and via collaborative research, has interactions across Memorial Sloan Kettering’s diverse and flourishing research community.
