Job Description
A growing general contractor that specializes in new construction projects for high-rise and mid-rise buildings is seeking a Junior Project Manager to help oversee their projects. The Junior Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing various construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing new construction projects, ensuring all phases are executed smoothly from inception to completion.
Handling construction documents such as Requests for Information (RFI's), change orders, submittals, and scheduling. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Monitoring project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met. Proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Collaborating with Superintendents, skilled trades, sub-contractors, and project managers to ensure effective communication and coordination across all project stakeholders.
Overseeing all phases of construction, ensuring that work is performed to the highest standards and in compliance with all relevant regulations and specifications.
Assisting in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality.
Ensuring all safety protocols are followed on-site, promoting a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.
Maintaining positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress and outcome.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on new construction projects for high-rise and mid-rise buildings.
Experience working on all phases of a construction project.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work on site and in an office dependent on project requirements.
Proficient in project management software Procore.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Environment
The Junior Project Manager will work on-site and in the office. Current projects are located in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
