GHS builds, implements and supports solutions that leverage Industrial Organizational Psychology to scale the selection process at Amazon. Online assessments enhance the selection process, while positively impacting the candidate experience through engaging media and rich simulation. The data obtained by Amazon through assessments enables strategic talent sourcing, placement and development.
Key to deploying assessments is the GHS Assessment Operations team. This team builds, test, implements and supports Amazon’s vast online assessments portfolio. The team focuses on continuous improvement and operational excellence so we’re able to deploy assessment products quickly and with the highest quality.
We are seeking a Manager, Program Management to lead the GHS Assessment Operations team. This individual will posses strong operations management and process improvement skills. You will lead the team to meet all service levels in our response to candidate needs, you will be able to dive deep and understand root cause of defects and build sustainable solutions to fix issues. You will lead efforts to bring scalability, quality and excellence to our talent assessment products. You must be able to succeed in a fast paced environment and handle ambiguity or competing priorities. You will insist on the highest standards and obsess about the candidate experience to continually improve and scale quality products.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a team of HR Specialists who are experts in building, testing and deploying assessment products.
Partner with Program Managers and Product Managers across Intelligent Talent Acquisition to align on multi-year product roadmaps. Own mechanism(s) to ensure ongoing, cross-functional alignment.
Lead and inspect mechanisms that ensure the assessment build, test and launch process is of the highest quality and with minimal errors
Develop and deploy flexible capacity planning models that can be utilized in bi-weekly and monthly sprint structures.
Partner with Tech and Science Product to continue to grow the tools used by the team to implement OAs.
Own mechanisms to understand recruiter, candidate, and program manager OA concerns and partner with Tech and Product to solve technical issues.
Hire and develop the best with empathy, while insisting on the highest standards.
About the team
The mission of Global Hiring Science (GHS) is to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of hiring across Amazon with assessments and interview improvements. We are a team of experts in industrial-organizational psychology, data science, and measuring the knowledge, skills, and abilities that it takes to be successful at Amazon. We conduct research on recruiting best practices, DEI in the hiring process, and Amazon's interview process.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of team management experience
5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience in applying operational excellence tools and mechanisms (e.g.,Six Sigma, Gemba walks) to solve root cause issues and capitalize on opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience working with talent assessment products (e.g. Online Assessments)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
