Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the IT department supporting the network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Midtown, NYC

Schedule: on site

Pay Range: $100,000 – $170,000

What's the Job?

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions using Cisco and Fortinet products.

• Configure and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Plan and manage network installations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues to ensure uninterrupted services.

• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues, including routing problems, firewall configurations, and security vulnerabilities.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on network support experience, preferably with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, with in-depth knowledge of IP addressing, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, QoS, and other key networking concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred; Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred.
