Job Description
ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES
NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of land – 14% of New York City – comprised of athletic fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, pools, recreation facilities, golf courses, beaches and large natural areas. Operations & Management Planning (OMP) conducts inspections, audits and assessments of a wide range of agency operations, performs analysis and present findings to management to measure Agency performance and improve services.
Major Responsibilities
Inspect parks and playgrounds, public restrooms, recreation centers and golf courses using a handheld computer and digital camera.
Utilize knowledge and apply standards for various inspection programs.
Locate and drive to inspection sites throughout the five boroughs.
Employ Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to map park features.
Produce inspection reports using Microsoft Office Suite.
Participate in special projects as needed.
**Appointees to this position will receive an assignment differential of $4,897 in addition to their base salary.

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position.
A Motor Vehicle Driver's License valid in the State of New York is required.
Ability to read and to understand and obey orders is required.
There are certain medical and physical requirements.
