The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), Michael Birnbaum, M.D., whose research aims to understand the role of online services in improving psychosis identification and intervention efforts. Reporting directly to Dr. Birnbaum, the Research Rater will support the research goals by administering assessments on study participants for the purpose of referring them to resources, in addition to following participants through the study life cycle and maintaining documentation for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include data coordination and project management effort as follows:

40% - Administer Mini-SIPS assessment on participants who progress towards remote assessment following protocol-specific requirements.

10% - Interprets results of assessments and provides to PI for final determination.

20% - Refer eligible participants to local resources.

15% - Track participant enrollment in referred programs by contacting both the programs and participants.

10% - Enter clinical research data into appropriate fields. In addition to organizing and maintaining data and files.

5% - Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NIMH-funded clinical trials.
  • Experience collaborating with national research networks.
  • Experience with Qualtrics, REDCap.
  • Successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, leadership experience, and a high degree of organization.

  • Experience with research involving youth and young adults.
  • Experience with research involving early psychosis.
  • Ability to make and carry out decisions independently, dedicated to team building and collaboration, and collaborate and manage partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Must have experience and ability to maintain knowledge of research and research training, including symptom rating scales, data collection, database management, and IRB submissions.
