The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most creative department in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and impactful.
The Strategic Planning & Investment team is core to leading GABM’s strategic planning process and setting the vision for one of the world’s most valuable brands. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the year-round integrated planning function through ongoing management of GABM’s marketing budget. This Senior Analyst will coordinate closely with GABM’s marketers and our finance partners, playing a critical role in GABM’s ability to deploy, measure, and optimize global investments.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, has strong analytical and problem-solving, and has a great collaborative mindset.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Manage monthly investment R&O process: manage forecasting, funding allocation, and day-to-day financial matters for the organization.
Support GABM marketers through financial consultancy.
Ensure processes and documents enable clear and transparent financial management and measurement.
Support the development of executive reporting.
Build relationships with all teams throughout the organization including key partners in Finance and Controllership.
Minimum Qualifications
Highly motivated with ability to juggle multiple tasks, excellent organization skills and careful attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills and financial analysis mindset.
Comfort in ambiguity with an ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots” and deploy critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels, both internally and externally.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present data and complex topics simply and succinctly to a senior audience.
Strong integrity and ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related majors.
1-2 years relevant experience (FP&A or similar).
Experience with financial systems, including Ariba and Oracle, a plus.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
