Mercer (US) LLC Sr. Associate, M&A in New York, New York

TITLE: Sr. Associate, M&AEMPLOYER: Mercer (US) LLCLOCATION: New York, NY (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies).DUTIES: Lead the data request and review process, development of quantitative analyses, and client and internal research to identify potential risks, costs, and integration considerations in M&A transactions to inform client on valuation for M&A targets and optimize performance when planning for integration and deal close. Provide crucial guidance/leadership through the development of modeling to identify and present potential financial, fiscal, legal, operational, and administrative risks that could impact the transaction. Collaborate with Mercer M&A Engagement Manager and/or M&A Market Leader, M&A Consultants and other Mercer line of business (LOB) consultants by providing project management leadership to ensure the successful delivery of client solutions. Leverage LOB consultants to deliver subject matter expertise on M&A engagements. Manage medium to large-scale M&A projects and oversee team members throughout the projects. Provide training to less experienced M&A consultants. Participate in the client-facing activities to ensure the closure of value added opportunities for the client. Contribute to client-facing business development activities including conducting client-specific research, identifying prospects, developing offerings/proposals/Engagement Letters/SOWs, conducting conflicts checks, and managing other M&A engagement processes, managing internal knowledge management databases, and Webcas requirements, etc. EOEREQTS: Must have Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, International Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, or a related position. Two (2) years of experience must include: Developing quantitative techniques and conducting corporate and internal research to identify financial products and solutions to optimize performance and inform company on valuation for M&A purposes; Conducting due diligence and developing diligence reports on potential M&A transactions; Developing financial models and valuation analyses; Supporting post-merger integration activities and project management; Analyzing market trends, conducting research, and interviewing related stakeholders to investigate investment thesis; Using tools including Excel and VBA coding to conduct data analysis, process optimization, and automation tasks for M&A transactions; Conducting data analysis, working with large and complex datasets, and benchmarking; Developing HR Integration playbooks that outline step-by-step procedures for managing HR activities; Managing multiple projects concurrently while engaging with wide array of stakeholders.SALARY: The applicable base salary range for this role is $98,700.00 to $165,500.00 per year. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
