SUPERVISOR HIGHWAY REPAIRER*

Arterial Maintenance within Roadway Repair & Maintenance (RRM) is seeking three candidates to fill positions for Supervisor Highway Repairer (SHR). Duties include, but not limited to, utilize computer systems to perform data entry and data retrieval, schedule pothole crews, lawn mowing, tree pruning, guiderail repair, fencing, attenuator placement, debris removal. Assigns equipment and delegates assignments; maintain logs and records related to progress productivity, and assignment. Schedule equipment for repair or recommend replacement; (example: packer, mower, backup attenuator); attend Utility Coordination meetings monthly; oversees the installation of guide rails and attenuators; as well as coordinating other roadway repair operations with related agencies. (example; Transit (Bus) and DEP); work to ensure a quality job; evaluates the performance of subordinates; check all work zone locations prior to commencing work; performs related duties.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

Three years of full-time satisfactory experience as a working member of a roadway maintenance and repair crew using asphalt and concrete mixes, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

License Requirement

At the time of appointment, candidates must possess a Class B Commercial Driver License valid in the State of New York, valid for air brakes. Employees must maintain this license for the duration of employment.
